Make slides and playlists

   Open Playlists and press New playlist

   Choose Ready-made slides and pick one

   For example Everyday mix for every day, Jumu'ah for Fridays or Ramadan.

   Change the sample slides to your own

   It makes a new playlist full of example slides. Press the three dots on each one to change the words, or take out the ones you don't want.

   Fill in the form

   On a computer a preview on the right shows how it will look, in landscape and portrait.

   Choose how long it shows

   Stays up for goes from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. 15 seconds suits most slides.

   Choose Inline or Full screen

   Inline shows the slide next to the prayer times. Full screen covers the whole screen, prayer times included, while that slide is up.

   Save it

   It goes into your slides, ready to add to a playlist.

Kinds of slide

• Announcement: a notice for your community. See Add an announcement.
• Verse or hadith: search by surah and ayah number, or by hadith collection and a word such as "patience". Or type one in yourself.
• Your own design: any words, laid out how you like.
• 99 Names of Allah: shows the names one at a time. Leave the list empty for all 99, or pick some.
• Dua: press Browse from library to pick one, or type it in with Arabic, transliteration and translation.
• Donation appeal: a QR code people scan to give, for general giving or for one appeal, with an optional progress bar. See Show giving on your screens.
• Poster: an image or PDF up to 5 MB. Best size is 1920 × 1080 for landscape screens or 1080 × 1920 for portrait. A4 posters are fine.
• Video: an MP4 or WebM file up to 50 MB. Keep it short. Most screens have no speakers, so assume it will play without sound.
• Course: a class with a QR code to sign up. See Run classes and courses.

For posters and videos, choose how they fit. Smart fit shows the whole poster with a soft blurred background and keeps prayer times visible; it's the best choice for an A4 poster on a wide screen. Fit in slide shows the whole poster beside the prayer times. Stretch to fit stretches the whole poster to fill the slides area with no gaps; nothing is cut off, but a poster that is a different shape from the area looks stretched or squashed. Fill screen covers the entire screen and may trim the edges.

   Open Playlists and press New playlist

   Give it a name and choose how to start

   Use a name that says when it's for, such as "Every day" or "Jumu'ah". Start with nothing, a copy of a playlist you have, or ready-made slides you can change. Then press Make playlist.

   Add slides

   Press Add slides. Tick the slides you want under Your slides and press Add, or make a new one under Make a new one. New slides go on the end.

   Put them in order

   Drag the handle on the left of each slide. On a phone, use the three dots on a slide and choose Move to the start, Move up or Move down.

   Watch it in On the screen

   The screen picture plays your slides in order, in the layout of the screen the playlist is on. If it's on screens with different layouts, switch between them with See it on.

There's no save button. Every change saves by itself and the word Saved appears at the top.

One playlist says New screens start here. A newly paired screen plays it until you choose another on the Screens page. To change it, press the three dots on another playlist and choose Start new screens on this one.

• To change the words or picture, press the three dots on the slide in a playlist and choose Change this slide, or press it in the Slides tab. To make it stay up for longer or shorter, press its length in the playlist and pick a new one.
• To take a slide off the screens after a certain day, press it in the Slides tab and set Take it off screens after.
• A slide is the same everywhere it's used. Change it once and every playlist and every screen with that slide updates.
• To take a slide out of one playlist, press the three dots on it and choose Take out of this playlist. It stays in your slides.
• To get rid of a slide everywhere, open the Slides tab, press the slide and choose Delete.

   Open Screens then My Screens

   Press Playlists on the screen

   Choose the playlist under Every day (on the Free plan it's called Playlist)

   It saves straight away. With a Masjid or Network licence you can also show other playlists at certain times. See Change what screens show at set times.

Each playlist's page shows the screens it Shows on. To change them, press Choose screens on the Screens page.

Online screens pick up any change to a slide or playlist within a few seconds. A screen that's offline catches up when it reconnects.
