The Display Unit is for halls where the screen has to be right every day. It is a small computer that keeps your times and slides on the device, so the right jamaat stays on screen if the Wi-Fi drops, and it starts again by itself after a power cut. It costs £189 and plugs into any TV with HDMI.

What is a masjid prayer times display?
It is a TV screen in the prayer hall that shows the day's start and jamaat times, a countdown to the next jamaat, the Hijri date and notices between prayers. With MasjidConnect the times come from one portal, so a volunteer updates them once and every screen follows.
How do I put prayer times on a masjid TV?
Make a free MasjidConnect account and add your times: upload the timetable you use, let us work them out for your area, or type them in. Then pair the TV by scanning the QR code it shows. Do we need special equipment?
No special TV is needed. Any TV or monitor with HDMI works, in portrait or landscape. Behind it you can use our £189 Display Unit, MasjidConnect TV on a Google TV, Android TV or Fire TV Stick, or a computer. When we fit the screens for you, the TVs and Display Units are included in the quote.
Does the display work without Wi-Fi?
Yes, on the Display Unit. It keeps your prayer times and slides on the device, so if the Wi-Fi drops the screen keeps showing the right jamaat and picks up changes when the connection returns. It also starts again by itself after a power cut, so it is the best choice for the main hall.
How are jamaat times set?
For each prayer you pick a set time or a number of minutes after the start time, and add a change from the date the times move. Jumu'ah has its own khutbah and jamaat times, with up to three Jumu'ahs. Every plan can have as many changes as you need. With the Masjid licence we can plan the next changes for you.
Does the display show Ramadan times?
Yes, with the Masjid licence. Ramadan mode adds sehri, iftar and taraweeh times to your screens, and you can run a Ramadan playlist for programmes and appeals. The Hijri date shows next to the prayer times all year.
What happens on the screen during jamaat?
The screen follows the prayer. It counts down to azan, can remind people to silence their phones before jamaat, then shows a short message or goes dark during salah. Afterwards it can show du'as in Arabic and English before going back to the timetable. You set this once.
Can the same prayer times go on our website?
Yes. The times that run your display also run a prayer times widget for your website, the printed timetable and the Community app. Free includes the Today's prayer times and Monthly timetable widgets. Paid licences add more widgets and take our name off them.
