Why it matters

Counting heads from a WhatsApp poll

Many masjid events are shared as a poster on WhatsApp, with numbers guessed from the replies. Then the hall is too full, the food runs out, or half the names never turn up.

A booking page tells you who is coming, stops at the number of places you set, and gives you a list for the door.

How bookings work

Add the event with its date, place and number of places. You can set how many people one booking can bring, keep a waiting list when it's full, or check each booking before it is confirmed.

Share the booking link on WhatsApp, Facebook or your website. People book with their name and a phone number or email, without making an account. Press Make a poster for a printed poster with a QR code to the booking page.

Press Add to Playlist and the event becomes a slide on your hall screens. If your masjid is in the Community app, the event appears there too and people can book from it.

Bookings are free to make, and paid tickets aren't available. On the Free plan you can run two events at a time, and the Masjid licence has no limit. Download the bookings as a list for the door at any time.

Event booking questions

How can a masjid take bookings for an event?

Add the event in MasjidConnect with the number of places, then share its booking link or poster. People book from their phone without an account, and you download the list for the door.

Can we sell tickets?

No. Bookings in MasjidConnect are free. For a fundraising dinner you can take donations on your donate page and use bookings to count places.

Can we take iftar bookings in Ramadan?

Yes. Add each iftar as an event with the number of places. Bookings stop when it's full, and a waiting list catches anyone after that.

Do people need an account to book?

No. They give their name and a phone number or email, choose how many people are coming and press Book.

How many events can we run?

Two at a time on the Free plan. The Masjid licence (£499 once) has no limit.
