Show giving on your screens

Put a QR code on your screens that people scan to give, with an appeal's progress bar and this week's total. Nobody has to type the total into an announcement each Friday.

  • In the portal: Playlists → Slides, and Giving → Donations

1. Make a donation slide

  1. 1

Open Playlists then Slides, press New slide and choose Donation appeal

  2. 2

    Choose what it's for

Pick a Donation Type. To raise money for one appeal, pick it under Campaign (optional) and turn on Show campaign progress on screen.

  3. 3

    Choose a layout

Emphasis on QR code makes the QR big. Emphasis on campaign progress makes the progress bar big.

  4. 4

Add a short line under the title if you like, then save

  5. 5

Press Add to Playlist and choose the playlist your screens play

The QR code opens your online donate page. People who give through it are marked as giving from your screens.

Take care

A donation slide needs an online donate page. Without one the slide says donations aren't available yet. Set one up first: see Take donations online and by card.

Which plan

Donation slides need a Masjid or Network licence.

2. Show this week's total

  1. 1

    Open Donations

  2. 2

Turn on Weekly total on your screens

It's in the dark band on the Overview, and on the Your screens card in Ways to give.

Every donation slide on every screen now shows "Given this week" with the total since Saturday. It adds up card readers, online gifts and the cash you record.

  • Cash you record and new card reader takings show on screens within moments.
  • Online gifts and edits show at the screen's next refresh, at least once a day.
  • Screens need version 1.12.1 or newer to show the total. Older screens show the slide without it. See Keep your screens up to date.

The Your screens card on Ways to give lists which screens have a donation slide, so you can check it's showing where you want.
