Run more than one screen

See whether each screen is working, rename or turn it, and give each one its own playlist or look. The main hall, the entrance and the sisters' section can all show different things.

Check your screens

Open Screens then My Screens. The band at the top says how many screens are on, with a line for each screen showing which playlist it shows through the day. Below that, each screen has a card showing:

  • On (green) if it's working, Off if we can't reach it, or Setting up while it's still connecting.
  • What it's Showing now, and until when.
  • Which way round it is and the layout it uses.

When a screen is off, its card says what to check, and the Dashboard's Needs you list tells you too.

Rename or turn a screen

    Press Settings on the screen's card

    Change the Name, Where it is, or Which way round it is

    Press Save

    The screen picks up the change in a few seconds. You don't need to add it again.

Show different things on different screens

  • Different slides: press Playlists on the screen's card and choose its playlist. With a Masjid or Network licence you can also show other playlists at certain times. See Change what screens show at set times.
  • A different look: press Settings on the screen's card and choose a Layout. Make new layouts in Screen Layouts. See Change how your screens look.

Changing one screen doesn't affect the others. Display Defaults, and any layout shared by several screens, do apply to all of them.

Restart a screen from your phone

If a change hasn't shown, or the screen looks stuck, press Restart on its card. The screen goes blank for about 30 seconds, then comes back with your latest times and playlists.

Restart only works while the screen is on.

Remove a screen

Press Settings on the screen's card, then Remove screen at the bottom and Yes, remove. The screen stops showing your masjid and goes back to the code screen. If it's switched off at the time, it does this the next time it comes on. Removing a screen frees up a space on your plan.

Take care

Only remove a screen when you're retiring it or moving it to another masjid. You can add it again later with a new code.
