Add your Jumu'ah time
- 1
On Prayer Times, open the Jumu'ah Schedules section and press Add Schedule
- 2
Give it a name
The name is only for you, so you can tell schedules apart. It isn't shown on screens.
- 3
Add the Khutbah Time, the Jamaat Time, or both
You need at least one of them.
- 4
Set Effective From and Effective To, then press Save
- 5
Press Apply Schedule next to it
Choose the dates and press Apply Schedule. This copies the times onto each Friday, which is where the Community app, your website and printed timetables read them from.
Take care
Always press Apply Schedule after adding or changing a Jumu'ah schedule. Screens read the schedule itself, but the app, website and printed timetables only change once it's applied. If you skip this step they can show a different time from your screens.
Two or more Jumu'ah prayers
Make one schedule for each Jumu'ah, with the same dates. For example, one at 12:45 and 13:15, and another at 13:45 and 14:15.
On Fridays your screens show every schedule that covers that day, in time order, labelled 1st Jumu'ah, 2nd Jumu'ah and so on. With only one, it just says Jumu'ah.
Take care
The Community app, your website and printed timetables show one Jumu'ah time only: the one from the schedule you applied last. Apply your first Jumu'ah last so that's the one people see. If you have two, tell people about the second on your screens or in an announcement.
Which plan
The Free plan has one Jumu'ah schedule. You need a Masjid or Network licence for a second Jumu'ah or for separate summer and winter times.
Summer and winter Jumu'ah
Make one schedule per season and make sure the dates don't overlap. For example, winter runs to the end of March and summer starts on 1 April.
If more than one schedule covers today, the Jumu'ah section shows a message saying your screens will show more than one Jumu'ah time. If that's not what you meant, change the end date on the old schedule or switch it off with Active.
Good to know
If your timetable upload had Jumu'ah columns, the portal made schedules from them, and they run for several years. Check the end dates after an upload so an old season's time doesn't stay on your screens.
When screens show the change
Screens pick up Jumu'ah changes overnight. To see a change straight away, go to Screens then My Screens and press Restart on each screen.
To change Jumu'ah for one Friday only, for example for Eid, change that day the same way as any other day. See Set and change jamaat times. If a Jumu'ah schedule covers that Friday, your screens follow the schedule, so for a one-off on screens it's quicker to send a screen notice. See Send an urgent notice to your screens.
