Answer questions with Ask the Imam
People ask questions in the Community app. Your imam answers them in the portal or on their phone, and the answers can help others with the same question.

Answer a question

Open Community app then Ask the imam
New questions are under Waiting. The Dashboard tells you when some are waiting.

Write your answer, choose whether everyone can see it, and press Send answer
The answer appears in the app straight away. The person who asked gets a notification the first time a question is answered, if they asked with an account and have that turned on. To change an answer later, find it under Answered, edit it and press Save changes.
Your imam can also answer from their phone: in the Community app, sign in and go to More, Masjid Admin, then Imam Q&A.
Who can answer
Anyone with the Imam, Admin or Masjid Admin role. Give your imam their own login with the Imam role. See Give committee members their own login.
Good to know
- Questions can be asked anonymously.
- Only answered questions are shown in the app. Unanswered ones stay private.
- Answers are shown to everyone who follows your masjid unless you turn off Let everyone see this answer. Turn it off for a private matter.
- To remove a question, pick it and press Remove question.
- To turn Ask the imam off, open Community app then Your masjid page, and switch it off under What people can use.
